Coaching is essentially about supporting and encouraging you to get to where you want to be.
Coaches can help you identify the lense through which you view the world, help you re-frame your
perspectives and shift your focus in a way that enables you to grow and flourish.
As humans we often tend to function on “auto-pilot”, responding to circumstances with automatic
reactions and triggers stemming from our intrinsic values, beliefs and thought patterns. Often these
are so automatic that we never question them and we are not even aware of them. In some cases
our thought patterns, beliefs and judgments are limiting and hinder our ability to move forward
and achieve what we want in life. This is where Mindset Coaching can help.
I am passionate about the notion of "choice consciousness" whereby people are aware of their ability to
shape their own experience through their choices, thoughts and behaviours. Whilst we may not always be able
to dictate the conditions, we always have a choice as to how we respond to them.

Types of coaching
There is individual coaching, executive coaching, performance coaching, career coaching .. .the list goes on. For me all coaching centres on the mindset. You can have the task blueprint, know all the technical skills and have all the experience in the world but until you can determine what's stopping you at a mental level, I believe it's near impossible to truly thrive.
In the short term it's more than possible to coach someone to improve performance, achieve a goal or tick a box. However I'm interested in "global change". What I mean by this is that I like to work at a deeper level with clients to make transformational changes to the way they think, feel and behave. I help them to understand when they are incongruent about something, experiencing inner conflict despite wanting it at a superficial level. I help people to recognise when their values are being violated and why they might be struggling with decisions. I help them to achieve clarity and improve their self-awareness so they can access a state of choice-consciousness and feel more empowered.
I have found that when you can facilitate those sorts of shifts for a client the changes apply across all dimensions of their life. My goal has always been to take my client to a point where they no longer need me. I consider my job as a coach as being a conduit to facilitate transformational change at such a fundamental level that clients can adopt a new way of being.

I recommend individuals receive post-training one-on-one coaching after they participate in one of my programs. This helps to solidify the learning and identify any outstanding issues to be worked through with the individual. The benefits of corporate coaching are many.
